AVOID:
Poor ground to north west ,un-rideable bridle paths: south of
Shipley Bridge 678 623 and Huntington warren 660 660.Avon Dam road from
South Brent is busy in summer with tourists cars and the tarmac lane up
to the Dam gets busy with cyclists and children. avoid Steep ground
around River Avon below Dam except where shown to cross by the Dam and
north of Dockwell Ridge

from north look for Red Brook coming down and crossing is below, from

will necessitate a long road detour of about 5 miles via ball gate and
along county lanes.

Zeal Tor Tramway follows a steady incline all the way up to Red Lake but
is not easy to follow in bad visibility.
