Good riding and views

Lots of interest here: Tors, Deep valleys, old railway track, Pub,

Some parts very rocky.

AVOID:

Military Area to NW when firing, Rocky areas

TAKE CARE:

Busy B3357 road. Going further into the moor to North West is not for novices. Very rocky south of Great Mis Tor560 767. Avoid by going north of Tor, or if you have to then go close to wall and it is slow going.

ROUTES

 C Circular Route mostly easy to follow, River Walkham crossing 556 777 is found by looking for the range posts. Bridle paths going into Moor on North west part of map still to be researched May 05

Points of Interest:

Pub at Merrivale,

Foggintor Quarry, Old Princetown railway,

Great sunsets from Cox Tor,

views from all the other Tors.

Lots of Antiquities and quarries.

Access/ Parking:

Road access is mostly via B3357 and there are lots of parking areas but all exposed.
